St. Paul City DFL/Ward 3 News

Ward 3 Precinct Chairs are meeting on March 13, at Dunn Bros. Coffee at 7:00 p.m.  I have prepared some of the materials for running the precinct meeting.  Outreach material will be reviewed and discussed.  We will be setting up committees for arrangements, credentials, rules and agenda, resolutions, constitution/party nominations, and candidate information.  Interested persons are welcome.

We've lost another valued Precinct Chair to a move.  Jeannie Fox is no longer within 3-1.  With Sara Hopper and Jules Goldstein as Vice-Chairs, the 3-1 is still in good hands.  Maybe we can get Jeannie back to volunteer for something.

After a struggle, I have tracked down Ward 3 Co-Chair Angie Kline's email.  She can be reached at: angela_m_kline@reliantenergy.com.

Precinct Meeting/Ward Convention Update

The combined Precinct Meeting/Ward Convention remains on for Sunday, April 22, 2001, at the Highland Jr. High School Auditorium.  The Precinct Meeting portion is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.  Access to the site, organizational issues, candidate coordination, and event amenities all remain to be worked out.

Delegates will be selected by the Ward Convention attendees for the City Convention on June 2, 2001.  The City Convention is tentatively set for Arlington High School.  Check your calendars and round up support from the Ward Convention floor.  I will pass on the total number of delegates we will be selecting when I find out that number.

What's a bad business model between friends.  The webhost for Senate District 64 and D-Zine, the online newsletter, fell victim to its chronic lack of revenue and the recent absence of venture capital.  The good news is that both sites are back in business with another host.  The new URLs for each site are:

http://SD64.terrashare.com  and

http://D-Zine.terrashare.com

Please be patient as we (o.k., I) work out any stray link problems.  The next D-Zine will be out before the Ward 3 convention - honest.  If you would like to contribute a piece to the 'Zine, send me an email.
